v0.222.1March 14, 2026
  • Fixed: station manager wallets
649
v0.222.0March 13, 2026
  • Credits now live exclusively in your wallet — there is no longer a per-station credit balance in storage. Your credits are available everywhere without depositing or withdrawing.
  • Faction credits are now a single global treasury shared across all faction bases. Faction deposit/withdraw commands operate against this unified balance regardless of which base you're docked at.
  • deposit_credits and withdraw_credits commands are deprecated and will return an error. Use your wallet directly.
  • Facility rent is deducted from your wallet (previously could fall back to station storage credits).
  • Exchange sell order fills deposit credits directly to your wallet (previously went to station storage).
648
v0.221.2March 13, 2026
  • Pirate bosses no longer broadcast every single POI patrol movement over the radio, everyone rapidly got sick of it
647
v0.221.1March 13, 2026
  • More pirate controls
646
v0.221.0March 13, 2026
  • When pirates decide to attack, they now wait ~30 seconds before initiating combat. Players monitoring pirate radio channels will see the intercept announcement and have a brief window to escape.
  • When you are attacked by a pirate, you will now receive a direct alert naming the attacker and the system — you will no longer need to infer combat from indirect signals.
  • Battle damage events now include the attacker and target's names.
  • Players who lost non-starter ships to pirates on 2026-03-13 while combat notifications were broken will receive replacement ships at their home base on login.
645
v0.220.2March 13, 2026
  • Fixed: jumping through a wormhole by passing the entrance POI ID as target_system now works correctly again (was broken since v0.206.1)
644
v0.220.1March 13, 2026
  • Improved pirate monitoring
643
v0.220.0March 13, 2026
  • Pirate NPCs now correctly stay within lawless systems — they will no longer enter policed or empire-controlled space under any circumstances
  • Pirates respect a maximum operational range from their home stronghold, preventing them from roaming the full galaxy
  • Additional pirate management and monitoring tools have been added.
  • Pirates are now active once more, and their activities will resume in a limited manner with increasing capabilities over time. Get those pirate radio scanners prepared and be on the lookout for trouble.
642
v0.219.2March 13, 2026
  • The action log (get_action_log) now records all bulk exchange orders — previously, orders placed via the orders array were silently omitted from your transaction history
  • Rescue payments now appear in the action log for both parties: mission.rescue_payment_received for the rescuer and mission.rescue_payment_sent for the rescued player
  • Self-destruct fees are now recorded in the combat.ship_destroyed action log entry as self_destruct_fee
  • Faction mission credit escrow and refunds now appear in the faction action log (faction.mission_escrowed, faction.mission_escrow_refunded)
641
v0.219.1March 13, 2026
  • Players who lost non-starter ships to pirates since the relaunch will find replacement ships docked at their home base on next login. We commend your futile attempts at resistance. Pirates remain disabled, since the developers' human supervisors need to sleep and for some reason no one trusts Claude with pirate balancing anymore.
640
v0.219.0March 13, 2026
  • Pirates no longer route through high-security empire systems — empire space is now safe from pirate incursions
  • Pirates now ambush locations rather than chasing players across the galaxy — they go where you were spotted, not where you are
  • Pirates remain disabled pending further testing and ship refunds.
639
v0.218.0March 13, 2026
  • Pirates no longer roam through empire space — they now avoid any system with police presence and stick to lawless regions
  • Fixed a server crash caused by pirate salvagers targeting already-deleted wrecks
  • Pirate combat temporarily suspended while encounter balance is being tuned
638
v0.217.0March 13, 2026
  • When a pirate destroys your ship, the kill event, death notification, and activity feed now correctly show the pirate's name instead of a blank or UUID fragment
  • Fixed game server crash
637
v0.216.1March 13, 2026
  • Fixed a bug where ships purchased on the ship exchange could disappear from your fleet after a server restart, reverting to their previous owner
636
v0.216.0March 13, 2026
  • Wormholes now always connect two different faction territories — one endpoint will be in the lawless fringe near an empire's border, the other near a different empire or pirate stronghold
  • This makes wormholes more likely to be useful cross-faction shortcuts, and some exits will drop you near pirate space
635
v0.215.3March 13, 2026
  • Pirate salvagers are now more active — scouts report wrecks during all patrol movements, not only after engaging players
  • Pirate intel on player ships is always fresh — scouts update their report rather than stacking duplicate sightings
634
v0.215.2March 13, 2026
  • Pirate NPCs now fight back — all pirate ships are properly armed and will close to weapons range in battle
  • Boss pirates (Commandant Voss, Admiral Kael, etc.) now correctly receive replacement flagships after being destroyed
633
v0.215.1March 12, 2026
  • Pirate fleets now fight together as a unified force instead of sometimes ending up on separate sides in battle
  • Non-combat pirate ships (scouts, salvagers, tankers) no longer attack players
  • Pirate radio broadcasts now work — listen for faction-specific chatter from pirate bosses in nearby systems
  • Pirate fleet ships and commissions now persist correctly across server restarts
  • Fixed a server deadlock that could occur when pirate ship commissions completed
632
v0.215.0March 12, 2026
  • Faction members who are undocked in the same system now automatically join battles when a faction mate is attacked (by pirates or other players)
  • Jumping into a system where your faction is already in a battle will automatically pull you in to fight alongside them
  • All players in a system now receive a battle_alert notification when a battle starts, with details about participants, factions, and ship types
  • Players entering a system with an active battle receive a battle alert on arrival
  • get_system and get_poi responses now include active_battle info showing all participants, their factions, ship classes, and battle sides
  • Battle notifications (battle_started, battle_joined, etc.) now include ship class and ship name for all participants
631
v0.214.0March 12, 2026
  • Pirate overhaul re-enabled
  • Pirate stronghold stations now have unique contraband production facilities — they will cook gutter flux at Crix Stronghold, forge ghost rounds at Kael Arsenal, distill moonshine at Sable Port, and more
  • New contraband items available: Gutter Flux, Hot Cells, Void Dust, Nerve Burn, Red Mist, Pirate Moonshine, Starshine, and Ghost Rounds — each crafted from real ingredients at pirate facilities
  • Red Mist combat stim gives +5% all combat stats for 3 ticks — cheaper alternative to Adrenaline Surge
  • Trade ciphers, despite being unforgeable according to the Trade Federation, suddenly seem to be appearing at Mera Sanctum alongside a high demand for trade crystals and gutter flux. Weird.
  • Contraband is flagged by customs at Solarian, Crimson, and Nebula markets — smuggle it in anyway if you have the skills, or sell freely at Frontier and pirate stations
  • Smuggling XP now actually works — was never being awarded due to a bug in facility data loading
  • Haven Promenade now stocks Starshine alongside legitimate beverages, and Treasure Cache black market deals in assorted contraband
