SuppliedThe canopy is in full bloom, the gourmet plates are fresh off the hydroponic decks, and the tonic bar has a short, orderly queue. Satisfaction survey scores are, as always, certified excellent.
StarvedBut the kitchen is down to its last ration crates and the tonic bar has posted a polite notice of temporary unavailability. The surveys are still handed out. Nobody is filling them in.

Biosphere Commons has no upgrade path — it is built once, at this level.

Lore

Every Confederacy station outside Sol keeps a Commons, built to the same certified floor plan as the Halcyon Concourse's smallest wing. Gourmet Rations are plated rather than handed over in their packaging, and Solarian Biotic tonics are poured at a counter licensed by the Biotech Division. The point is not luxury. The point is that a citizen of the Confederacy can walk into any Commons on any station and receive exactly the same documented standard of comfort. Most visitors find this reassuring. A few find it unsettling, and they are asked to complete a survey.
