Lore

No Federation station is complete without somewhere to celebrate a deal, and the Gilded Flute is the Federation's answer at every port worth docking at. Stellar Vintage is grown in zero-g algae cultures and filtered through trade crystal, so a single bottle carries the whole Federation economy in it — which is precisely the point. Merchants say a contract signed over a flute of Vintage is more binding than one filed with the Trade Commission. The Trade Commission has declined to comment.
