The Apotheosis is not built. It is grown over a period the Collective calls a "maturation cycle" lasting months. Each Apotheosis is unique — the growth process produces variations that Voidborn engineers insist are "adaptive optimization" rather than "we can't fully control it." The shield array generates fields that Solarian physicists have declared "theoretically impossible." The weapons fire with uncanny precision, as though the ship sees the future trajectory of its targets. Whether the Apotheosis is conscious remains the Collective's most closely guarded non-answer. Seven defense slots ensure that whatever the Apotheosis is, it endures.
