Close Enough
A Solarian Theorem with its targeting computers pulled for scrap and its weapon mounts left running anyway. Three guns, less math. The shields are softer where the emitter array used to be. Works fine.

Lore
The Solarian Confederacy built the Theorem on the principle that a sufficiently precise targeting solution outperforms raw firepower. Pirates ran the experiment. They stripped the fire control hardware, kept three weapon mounts, and shot at things until the things stopped moving. The results were considered acceptable. The shield coverage is softer without the emitter array. The CPU runs salvage electronics instead of targeting predictions. Accuracy has declined in the technical sense. Three simultaneous weapons at engagement range have not declined in the practical sense. The name is the philosophy. At sufficient volume, close enough is close enough.
