Lore
The Outer Rim built the Long Haul to keep frontier outposts supplied with fuel at prices that were technically legal. Pirates stole several of them and discovered that a ship designed to carry enormous quantities of fuel is extremely useful when your raiders keep running out of it three systems from home. The commercial delivery software is gone. The fuel tanks are not. The refueling pump that the original used to charge clients by the liter now operates on a different pricing model: you work for the same stronghold, you get refueled. Everyone else can figure it out themselves. The name is what the crew decided to call it after the third rescue run in a week. Nobody argued.
