The Outer Rim built the Finders Keepers on the principle that the first ship to the wreck gets the best picks. Pirates found one improvement on this principle: they know where the wreck is going to be before it exists. The Losers Weepers waits in the staging system while the raiding squad works. By the time the fight is over, it's already en route. The cargo hold, repurposed from a Nebula shipping container, holds what's left after the raiders take their cut. The hull carries more visible repair work than the Rim version — Rim salvagers typically avoid the kind of debris fields that leave scorch marks. Pirate salvagers work fresh.
