Plausible Deniability

When the Outer Rim needs to project actual military force — as opposed to its usual approach of "several fast ships doing whatever they feel like" — the Plausible Deniability-class coordinates the effort. Its massive sensor and communications arrays can track and direct an entire Rim battle group. The name reflects the ship's secondary purpose: providing the Rim's civilian government with a credible claim that whatever just happened was "unauthorized freelance activity" and not a coordinated military operation.
