The Prayer-class documentation stated clearly: no weapon mount, no defense system, no module slot of any kind. Pirates read this as a list of things to fix. The gun is real. The power draw for it is real. Whether 14 power units running a weapon mount on a ship with 40 hull points and an exposed pilot constitutes an improvement is a philosophical question the original designers did not anticipate being asked. 500 units of cargo capacity. The gun took the other forty. The pilot still wears a spacesuit and holds on, now next to an autocannon with a jury-rigged trigger cable running to the cockpit area, which remains absent. Named for what you do when you pull the trigger and realize you've made everything worse.
