A precision excavation pattern recovered from Resource Crisis equipment stores. Modern ore collectors replace the original catch cages, but the rail accelerator still punches narrow cuts through the deposit. Surplus slug cases have made the ammunition bill tolerable again. Works thinner deposits than a standard mining beam. One railgun ammunition case supplies four successful mining cycles; premium slugs give no mining bonus. Core samples are collected from the far side.
